A little bit more hilly country again today, very scenic.<\/p>\n

Young may be the cherry capital of Australia, but where are the groves? I didn’t see any.<\/p>\n

I came through Murringo, but other than a church and a few houses there isn’t much there (anymore). I think this old sign is much more interesting than the new one in the distance.<\/p>\n

Then more rolling hills and nice vistas, and approaching Boorowa the signs announced the “Magistrates Tea Rooms”, where I had high hopes of enjoying a good old fashioned high tea. Hmmm, well, it turned out to be a little room at the visitors centre with make-it-yourself tea or instant coffee. So I passed and ended up at the bakery. Always dependable (or nearly always), and this time it was. Then caravan park where they charged me a special rate of only $10. One person, one little tent, and I could set up next to the BBQ station and shelter.<\/p>\n

Then walk into town to get a bottle of wine at the IGA, “19 Crimes” 2017 Shiraz<\/i>, on special for just $10. They have an interesting app you can download to make their wine labels come to life. Gimicky but fun.<\/p>\n
