Today’s route started out along the Henry Lawson Way, scenic, but rather a busy road, so when I came upon a road sign pointing to Iandra I checked the map and saw that it would add about 10k to today’s ride.

See all the dust? It’s sheep running away. They always do, they never want to pose!

Another dry dam

I’m glad I took this little road though, it was pretty and virtually no traffic until Iandra. I was surprised to find that Iandra is a castle! Unfortunately not open for inspection today, weekends only it seems.

From there the road continued via Monteagle (just a few houses) to Young, a bit busier here but nothing compared to the highway.

Lots of opportunities for more trailways!

How appropriate, coming from the cherry capital of Canada, to visit Young!

I checked in at the caravan park, showered, washed clothes, went into town for lunch, and will try to find some flip flops, or thongs, as they are known by here. (Update: success, $10 things at Big W)
