I forgot to mention yesterday that another reason why the going was slow along that section of rail trail was because I went through 52 little gates! Now, they are spring loaded little swing gates, but still, you have to get off and carefully push through every time. Very time consuming. None of that today. The trail was paved all the way, there were bridges, and every road crossing had ample warnings but no gates to go through. It still wasn’t overly fast though, because it was mostly uphill again.
Just as I was packing up there was this huge spider scurrying under BOB’s wheel. I didn’t want it to get squished so moved it to a tree. Just its body was about 5 cm. No idea what kind it is but I don’t think it’s the notorious Funnel Web Spider.

In Tingoora I had a Solo lemon pop and in Memerambi an Italian ice cream, nothing like Roberto makes it, but still a nice little treat.

Handsome benches in many places along the way and lots of bridges. No struggling with dips or wading through creeks.

Kingaroy is the peanut capital of Australia. I’ll have to find myself some today or tomorrow.
Set up camp at the Showground camping area. There are a few other campers, all with trailers or little motorhomes.
