Main showground pavilions at dawn

with the very cute Gatekeeper’s House

A relaxed day in Bathurst. Just some wandering around town on foot, where I followed some of the self guided walking tours. There are lots of nice old buildings, but I didn’t take many pictures.

Opposite this building is Machattie Park where the Begonia House is located, a greenhouse with hundreds of different begonias. They are all in bloom right now, very impressive. It takes a team of three to keep it look this tidy!

Other than that I had coffee in a couple of places and bought myself a new shirt at “Vinnies”, a sort of second hand store. My daily wool Icebreaker shirt has umpteen holes in it, I just cannot keep up mending them. Very disappointing, especially since they are rather pricey shirts at $100-ish each. This one is synthetic, looks cool, will probable smell in no time (which wool doesn’t do), but it cost only $6.

Oh, and a fresh haircut to go with it!
