Just filled out my TSR Permit Application. What a nice simple process, right on the BNT website. Thank you guys!

Only 5 more sleeps and I’ll be on my way! BOB is all packed up in a box and today I’ll box up my bike as well. Both boxes will be just under 20 kg each, not bad. Of course once I get to my starting point in Cairns there will be considerable additions to my total weight. There will be 5-6 kg of kibble and other edibles, six or more litres of water, and one or 2 litres of metho. A new PLB is also waiting for me in Cairns. But I’ll shed some weight too, since spare tire, chain, lube and some other stuff can be mailed forward and picked up along the way.

And if it remains as dry as it is now I may need to carry even more water! But I’ll deal with that when the situation presents itself.
