Hundreds of corellas around! Although sulphur crested cockatoos are noisier, hundreds of corellas are equally so.

A pretty convenient setup. And when I came back from the post office there was a maintenance guy who was able to unlock the toilet for me. No more #2s in the horse corral! That is what Tony suggested yesterday late afternoon, “what the heck, cattle shit in there too” he said, as he claimed that the locks to the toilets were broken.
I had not really meant to have a rest day in Aberdeen, pleasant little town as it is. But I had a couple of parcels waiting for me at the PO and since I arrived here on Sunday I had to stay an extra day. As it turns out I hardly needed anything from my parcels other than a bit of extra chain lube and some instant coffee. The rest I all combined into one and mailed it on again, for the last time now, to me mate Mal in Canberra.
I had a pie from the pie shop for brekkie, which was very good, but the Lamington (?) and little apple turnover I picked out for smoko later in the morning weren’t up to par. The former was just white cake rolled in some brown stuff and coconut, while the turnover was made with Cool Whip rather than real cream. Not good.

Then relax by the and in the river. Oh isn’t life sweet! I may spend the rest of the afternoon at this spot, and then go to the “Top Pub” (where they had the live country music yesterday) for tea.
Interesting camping sites!! QUITE a variety !
