Another rest day. Armidale is a great little city and worth exploring a bit further.

Lots of well maintained and restored buildings, churches (Armadale is known as the city of churches) and many parks and other green spaces. Colin, Carrol and I walked the self-guided tour through the downtown area, nice and relaxed, a coffee stop, a beer stop (at the Welder’s Dog), very interesting and amiable.

At the showgrounds is also a large shed with old (being) restored old farm equipment which was open in the afternoon. Lots of old tractors and other machinery and we got a personal tour from an old bloke who had sold tractors his whole career.
Afterwards Colin drove us to the uni grounds to have a look at the old, originally private “cottage”, which now houses administration.

Yes, a typical cottage!
Dinner at Carrol and Colin’s, all in all a perfect day.
