I made it to the dam, but don’t ask me how. The first 12k out of Mutchilba were paved, then the track followed a mango orchard, again no ripe ones,

then an increasingly more difficult track. Very rough, rocky, eroded and steep uphill, so a lot of pushing again. I did not rememder that from 15 years ago. I drank almost 5 liters of water, and not a drop coming out from below. All excreted as sweat. When another very long steep uphill presented itself I knew I wouldn’t make it to the dam, not with Bob in tow. I just did not have the energy left. So I abandoned the trailer beside the track and continued without. Made it to the dam/lake well before dark, filled up on water, but of course all my living accommodations and food and everything are packed in Bob. So for the night I found a bit sheltered spot and covered myself in a mound of dry grasses. It wasn’t overly comfortable, but I survived the night. Luckily it only went down to 17, not the 13 of the night before. I wish I had taken a picture of myself under my cover of grass, but alas.
30 kms, 400 to 500 m uphill
My bicycle computer doesn’t register well when I’m pushing my bike at 1-2 kph
