Kabra >< Rockhampton

Friday 14 Dec 2018

Just an out and back to Rocky today, still 62 kms all in all, but piece of cake without BOB in tow.

Had a quick look at the Botanical Gardens, which are the oldest in Queensland apparently. I got my Aussie Butt Cream, but only upon return to Kabra I read on the label that it contains tea tree oil and that is just about the only thing I’m allergic to and I’ve avoided anything with tea tree for decades. I’ll try it though, who knows, so many other things in my metabolism have changed over the years, perhaps this has too.

Got some other supplies at Woolies such as Cup of Soup, which I’ve found super satisfying as a mid to late afternoon beverage/snack. Muesli, trail mix, raisins, not a long list but good to have replenished. Also 1.5 litres of grapefruit juice, the bottle fits perfectly in my bottle cages. Just have to drink a lot of grapefruit juice between tonight and tomorrow!

I was wrong the other day about crossing the Tropic of Capricorn. It is actually here in Gracemere, between Kabra and Rocky!

I just ate cold pizza for supper, leftovers from yesterday’s pub meal. The good folks at the pub were quite willing to store it in one of their fridges for me. It was delicious even cold. Prawns and camembert, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. And of course a few fermented beverages along with it.

Tomorrow off to Mount Morgan, not far, an easy day for a change.
